NEPRA Slashes Rates – Genesys Case study to be taken Seriously

As was news headlines all over the country that NEPRA the Electricity company of Pakistan has slashed its tariff by Rs.2.80/- and formerly a couple of days before K-electric, Genesys claimed the same the BIG question remains. Will this be a sustained effort towards Pakistan’s journey on a new infrastructure or is this slash of rates just a timely relief for news-sake?
According to February 3rd case study report “Genesys reported K-Electric serves more than 2.5 million customers and has invested heavily in modernizing their infrastructure to deliver safer, more affordable power to a rising population. K-Electric also runs one of the country’s largest contact centers. Achieving an Omni channel experience across multiple customer touch points, such as their website, 29 integrated business centers, text and chat services, as well as mobile engineers, is a key focus for innovation,”
After Pakistan’s entry into the era of being on its way to becoming a major player in economy related to CPEC and similar joint ventures it may well be seen that finally, the luxuries of life transform into a lifestyle. A few years still to go to witness this transformation but services like electricity, internet availability, natural gas, fuel and everyday life provisions which makes the wheel turn are seamlessly provided.
Pakistan seems determined to achieve a mark where these issues may not remain issues keeping the ever growing population and its demands. Once on the road to success energy sector is the most important to keep the meshes running.
