Pakistani Consumers demand recall of Toyota Corolla Altis
It is evident that Pakistani consumers have finally realized their rights and are voicing their complaints regarding the poor functionality of the infotainment system in new Corolla Altis 1.6 and 1.8 variants.
Most car owners are facing moderate to severe hardware issues and operating system which is apparently not updated to suit the various needs running on an older Android version powered by lesser RAM than required for the functionality, creating compatibility issues with the latest apps.
Moreover, the system lags on playing music via Bluetooth connectivity and on viewing Google Maps. Complaints regarding its substandard front and rare view camera and poor night vision have also been seen on various social media platforms.
Written complaints have been sent for a total recall of Corolla Altis to Indus Motor Corporation (IMC) Pakistan and to the Toyota headquarters in Japan. However, both haven’t responded as yet in any official or direct-to-consumer complaint – problem-solution manner leaving the issue in a limbo.
Stay tuned for more updates.
