YouTube New AI Features Lets You Remove the Green Background in Real Time

Youtube video-editing tools are changing shape towards better by input and technology guided into its framework from Google. For a first step, this means, no green screen background.
The new tool named, Dubbed Mobile Real-time Video Segmentation, uses AI and architecture learning allowing users to replace the background on their video in real-time. Already in Beta testing for YouTube, the tool is as simple as applying a filter to a smartphone image.
On their official blog, Google’s gist of the lengthy document was “Our new segmentation technology allows creators to replace and modify the background, effortlessly increasing videos’ production value without specialized equipment.”
The Youtube tool is almost ready to roll out, similar to those available on Snapchat and Instagram stories and is as easy as AR image editing tools creating masks facial overlays featuring in smartphones software.
This will enable users to further use the oncoming Augmented Reality technology to their handhelds featuring better and real-time editing. Google’s blog also mentioned that “As we improve and expand our segmentation technology to more labels, we plan to integrate it into Google’s broader Augmented Reality services.”
